Uncommon Objects

During a recent trip to Austin I ran into the coolest antique store ever. ok, there, I said it. I've been to many antique stores in my life already, mostly against my free will, bragged along by some older relative or curious friend and I can say for sure Im not easily impressed by old stuff. I gave up on antique stores a long time ago. Uncommon Objects is different experience, items are laid out with care for composition, color coordination, impeccable harmony and even humor. Every corner, shelf and wall is art directed with the same attention a curator would put together an exhibition in a museum. One cant help but to think that these things were just coincidentally put together, it's got be a work of superior being behind all this, someone gave these inanimate objects purpose, a fate. The porcelain doll, the hat holder, the jesus painting on black silk, the antler, rusted bullets...they all have gone a long way to be there together. Its almost sad to think that someone can just buy them and take them away from each other. Unfortunately I didnt have my digital camera to snap some shots of the store. However that gives me an reason to come back to revisit this amazing sanctuary.
